Softball has been part of me since I started out in the u10 division of the Plymouth Youth Softball and Baseball Program, my community's recreation programs. The program still uses an image of my teammates and me running out onto the field for opening day. My team went on to win our division, giving me my first sense of what hard work and good teamwork could accomplish.
This mantra of hard work has stayed with me as I continue to wake up early every Saturday morning and think I am pretty lucky to be going to spend the day with thirteen of my best friends. This commitment to improving oneself and supporting others has opened doors for me academically. I have been recommended by teachers and school administrators for programs that demand attention to detail, focus and the drive to learn.
I traveled to Shichigahama, Japan in 2017 as part of the delegation of student ambassadors to visit our sister city. As a sophomore in high school, I was selected to participate in the Model UN Program run by Harvard University as a delegate representing Indonesia battling the opioid crisis. This summer of 2020, I have been selected to travel to Milan, Itlay to play the 16U Italian National Team in a three-day tournament in Milan.
I am currently taking a range of honor and AP classes as I explore all my academic opportunities. I am excited about my future both in sports and education.
