Personal Statement
I am a 16 year old sophomore at Tewksbury Memorial High School in Tewksbury, Massachusetts. I have been playing softball since I was 8 years old and travel softball since I was 9 years old. I immediately fell in love with the sport and the team concept that came with it. Working together with teammates that share the same passion you do to complete a common goal is a feeling like no other, especially when all the work you put in finally pays off.
I am a versatile player that knows what to do and can play any position in the field. I have an outgoing personality that makes it easy for me to bond with my teammates. I have played up and down for other teams in my program and have easily made connection with players from those teams. This past highschool season I made the varsity team. My team lost in the finals, playing at UMASS Amherst.
Academically, I have always been at the top of my class. My strongest subject is mathematics, and I went to an extra school to enhance my learning and understanding of the subject, while being taught at a higher level. For my sophomore year, I am enrolled in the most advanced classes for my grade level at my school. My plan in to go to a college where I can play softball competitively at the highest level while also pursuing my interests in the medical field.
