As a student athlete who has been playing softball since I was 5, I know that this is the sport for me. I never get tired of being on the diamond! I can control my part of the game by hitting the next pitch or making the next play. I can control how hard I work and how much better I can get on my own and while in practice. Not only do I have a strong work ethic on the field, I have it in the classroom as well. I would like to graduate high school with my associates degree before moving on to play softball at the college level and get a degree for psychology. I’m different from other athletes because I know that every second counts, and for every bit of sweat and strength I put into softball I will receive important skills in return. I’m an encouraging leader for my teammates now and I can be that leader for my teammates at the college level.
