My name is Andrea Witt: I am a sophomore at South Callaway High School. I plan to pursue softball at the next level, and willing to put in the work to get there. Softball is my passion, and it has gave me so many opportunities in life with coaches and great athletes that I get the chance to play with. My coaches and teammates have pushed me to be the best I can be, including my biggest supporters, my parents. They have all influenced to me to play the sport I play, and to keep working hard on and off the field. I have many goals for myself, I want to go to college for softball, get my bachelors, and medical degree. I also want to become a better athlete overall. The first step to accomplishing those goals are my Education. Education is a huge aspect of my life, because not only softball will get me to college but my education will as well. I’ve always pushed my self to try new things, like being in honor classes and playing bigger and better teams. I believe that the only way to get better at something is to challenge your self more than you’re already challenged. Being challenged brings you many failures, but from my perspective my failures have taught me more than I’ve learned. Softball has brought me many failures with a lot of success, which Im willing to bring more by putting in the work that I need to become better. Softball has brought many memories, strengths, and happiness into my life. It is my passion, it’s like my home away from home. Playing the game to me isn’t just about winning, it’s about having fun and doing what you love. Softball has built my confidence, and helped me be mentally stronger, it has showed me how important commitment, and effort is and I would love to see where it takes me one day.
