My name is Madeline Wade, but most people know me as Maddy. I graduate in 2022 from Centennial High School in Las Vegas, Nevada. I am a right handed pitcher and play 2nd base. As a Freshman I tried out for Centennial High School and made the Varsity team playing 3rd base.
I am looking for a college with a solid Business and Marketing program. I am a good student, and I am able to manage my time with my accelerated classes, play on a travel softball team that is year-round, take pitching and batting lessons weekly, and help with chores around the house. Balancing my activities is currently preparing me for college to make the transition easier and giving me a better chance of success. Working hard is a term that I keep in the back of my mind with what ever I am doing. I have been told since I was little that effort and attitude are two things that I have control over 100% of the time.
The words that I have heard from my coaches describing my characteristics are: hard working, coach-able, and a team player. I look forward to finding a fit for me academically that allows me to continue to play softball as well. My older sister is currently at a Division II college in Golden, CO, where she received an athletic scholarship to play softball. Watching her continue to play softball at that level, solidifies the need to find a college that I can both obtain my education and play softball. I see that she enjoys her college experience more and that is due to her involvement with her softball team. Once you have a love of the game, it is hard to give it up. That is why I am looking for the best of both worlds.
