Kierra Souphakhot '25 Recruiting Profile

I fell in love with softball when I was 7 years old. Little did I know at the 8U level how much of an impact this game would have on me. The game of softball has taught me things that I may never learn in the classroom. It’s taught me the true meaning of teamwork, commitment, sacrifice, respect, adversity and determination. It taught me how to win humbly and lose with grace. It’s helped me become the person I am today and continues to inspire me for greatness.

I’ve known for a long time how much I want to continue playing at the collegiate level. It’s something I’ve dreamed of for so long and respect how difficult that is to achieve. However, that has only motivated me to work harder to make that dream a reality.

I may not be the most vocal, however, I try to let my playing do the talking for me. I support my teammates through our challenges and weaknesses and celebrate the wins and our strengths.  I am extremely coachable and take every bit of advice and critique to heart.

As hard as I work on the field, you can expect the same in the classroom. I maintain a high GPA and continue taking honor classes. I’ll be joining SALT (Student Athlete Leadership Team) my junior year (as juniors and seniors are only eligible) and continue volunteering with NYAA (Newmarket Youth Athletics Association).

I want to end up at a college that will continue to push me for greatness but welcome me as family. I’m lucky to be part of a team right now that is exactly that, family. We look out for one another on and off the field and I hope to make my family proud.
