Maddie Burns '26 Recruiting Profile

     It has always been a goal of mine to play softball at the collegiate level. Through the years I have dedicated myself every day in trying to improve on my skills either through team practice, private lessons, strength and conditioning workouts, or just when I'm home in the backyard working on different drills. I participate in all these things not because I have to but because I am so dedicated to the game and love being competitive.

     My parents have taught me at a young age and still remind me every day that no matter what you're doing in life you need to do extra work to get ahead. I take that advice and bring it to the classroom and the field. When I was 12 years old my team won the NY state all-star championship and built such a strong relationship with my teammates that we are still very close friends as we are in high school now. I want to continue to build friendships with fellow teammates and coaches in the future no matter where the destination maybe. As player I believe I would be a good candidate for a team because I love to compete which means I'm always giving 100% and have no problem when a coach or another player offers advice, instruction, or just making suggestions to how I can improve. Receiving a solid education from a university is my main goal and playing the game that I love would be amazing. I believe I have an extremely hard work ethic that I maintain thru the whole year and wish to continue thru high school and college.
