Personal Statement

I cannot imagine my life without softball. It is who I am. I have played since I was 8 years old and I live to play the game, to chew dubble bubble gum, to eat sunflower seeds, to do my eye black, to get my pants as dirty as I can, to get to be with my teammates who become my sisters. Every single aspect about playing, I love. When I imagine my future, I just can’t imagine taking my last at bat my senior year on my high school team and knowing that is the last time I will ever be playing the game I adore. That’s how I knew I wanted to play college softball.  I am a sophomore member of the Victor High School Varsity Softball team.  I have been playing travel softball for the Battery Lightning Organization since 2014. I am truly devoted to the game, I will always work my hardest. I am coachable and have a optimistic attitude. I am a leader on and off the field, as well as being the best teammate I can be. I want to continue to play softball in college for the joy and the team camaraderie.  I am hoping to obtain financial assistance while playing softball. This year, I have sparked interest for journalism. It is my first year in our school newspaper, The Victor Voice. Currently, I am the Editor in Chief. When choosing a college it is important to me that it is somewhere that will help me expand my knowledge of both the game of softball and my education. I want to make life lasting friends and memories that will last forever.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
