Hi, my name is Angelina Marie lopez. The sport of softball has taught me so many things about myself and how important it is to my future. Throughout my life my dad has influenced me the most. I would say he is the man that pushes me to do my best even when I get down. He is there to make sure I am always working hard and doing my absolute best. When I was about five years old my brother was playing baseball and I wanted to get into a sport. That sport five year old me chose was softball and ever since then I fell in love with the game. Throughout the many years that I have been playing softball it has taught me that not everything is just handed to you. I think that is an important life skill to remember because throughout life you will need to work hard for what you want and do whatever it takes.
Setting goals for myself is the most important thing to me. I want to graduate high school knowing I did not leave anything behind academically and in an athletic way. I want the satisfaction that I did my best through high school and I did as much as I could to get to where I am. Ever since I was young my goal was to get a scholarship to play softball. That is exactly what I am working for and that is my goal for college. Playing softball and training to get better is not always easy. There are tough obstacles to overcome constantly and to get through those you have to keep pushing yourself to do better.
