Personal Statement
Freshman year began a whole new Chapter for me. I decided to change Schools and embark on a new Adventure. Starting a new School and joining a new team was a big decision. Although I was scared , I was also very excited at the same time. When Sophomore year came I knew exactly why God had placed me here. We had graduated our pitcher and had no replacement. When Coach Ward approached me and asked if I would step up and help my team, I didn’t hesitate. I started pitching lessons, worked on my reps and dedicated my time to become everything that would be expected of me to step up and fit the role. I was ready for the challenge! Through that year I pushed myself harder than I had ever pushed. We didn’t win every game that season but it gave me a whole new respect for the game that I love! Growing that Season showed me how to not only be a leader but I realized that sacrifices are always worth it if you want it bad enough and are willing to put in the work. Those sacrifices earned me my first All Conference Award!
I am looking for a program that not only challenges me Athletically but Academically. I have set high goals for my future that I will work to achieve. Being a Student Athlete has taught me that my work ethic, self discipline and dedication will enable me to push myself to new limits at the next level. Hard works pays off!
