It was in 8th grade when I grew a passion for softball. A friend had brought me along to a pre-season practice where I was able to participate and learn the fundamentals of the sport. I instantly knew this is what I wanted to spend my spare time doing and focusing on. Through the sport of softball I have been able to grow as a person and player and have learned many new things about myself. These things would be like the competitive nature I have developed and possess when playing, the improvement of my social and communication skills, and the quick ability to adjust to change. For example, in my first year I had started off playing third base and loved it. A few weeks into the season, my team needed a catcher and at first I was a little hesitant being new to the game but, as soon as I got a feel for the position I didn't want to play anywhere else. Being in control and being a part of the play each time was something I had enjoyed very much. While continuing my softball career, I hope to further my education in the field of kinesiology. I aspire to become a personal trainer while coaching softball in my spare time. On and off the field I push myself to become a better player as an individual and as a team member.
