Personal Statement

Hi - Just a short note about myself:  I am a determined and self-driven person both academically and athletically. I feel that I am extremely coachable and will do whatever is in the best interests of the team. I love being part of a team and enjoy the relationships I have gained from these teams.

Academics are very important. I plan on earning my education degree and someday becoming a teacher in the 4th-8th grade range. I currently volunteer time in my mom's class whenever possible and peer tutor at my high school and cadet teach at the middle school. I am looking for strong educational programs in a college.

Athletics are and have been a huge part of my life. I love to compete. I have played softball since I was 5 years old and have played volleyball since the 4th grade.  I am 5'4" and 125 pounds. On many occassions I have been told that I am too small, and this just drives me even more.  I feel that I am unique in the fact that my primary position is a catcher, and yet I am a lefty/slapper when I hit.  I have dreamed of playing college softball since I was a little girl.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
