Olivia Wagner '19 Recruiting Profile

I’m a 2019 two sport student athlete (field hockey & softball) who has earned a starting varsity spot on both teams (PIAA AAAA School) freshman and sophomore years. My field hockey club is Key State Kryptonite Field Hockey and my travel softball team is Central PA Krunch.  As a student athlete,  I believe in taking care of business in the classroom before taking care of business on the field, and this is why I am working extremely hard to maintain my 4.0 GPA and Distinguished Honors.

On the field, I believe you play for the name on the front of your jersey before you play for the name on the back. I am versatile, having played every position based on what’s best for the team. Whether it’s getting down a sacrifice bunt, swiping a bag or simply warming up the next pitcher, I believe in executing my team’s assignment to the best of my ability.

The main reason I want to play at the collegiate level is that I love to compete. I’m a hard worker, I like to be challenged and I enjoy hanging out with my teammates. As a college coach, I’m sure you evaluate hundreds of athletes each year, and recruiting the right athletes has to be critical to the success of your program.
