Personal Statement
I'm Alana Weyant and I go to Chestnut Ridge High School. I am in 11th grade and I play varstiy volleyball, basketball, and softball. I am a very hard worker and when I find that I'm struggling with a skill, then I work at it until I get it right. Softball is my life and playing college softball is my dream. I will find a way to achieve this goal somehow, someway. I push my teammates to do well as well as myself. I am open to any Division of college but playing D1 or D2 is the goal that I am shooting for. I want to play college softball because I have been playing the sport for so long, and it has become such a large part of my life, that I do NOT want to stop after high school. I want to build my skills and play at a higher level and continue to get better.
I want to go to college to become a Nurse Anestetist. The medical field is definitely my route to take. I am good at maths and sciences in school and get good grades. I not only work hard on the field but in the classroom as well. School is my number one priority, but when summer comes around, I play softball usually 3 times through the week and every weekend for my traveling team, Keystone Fire-N-Ice.
I can not wait to learn more about the sport of softball at a new level. I am always learning new skills and I am always open to help to make myself better. A large section of my life is takin up by softball and I wouldn't have it any other way!!
