Let me introduce myself. My name is Lexyn Corle. I am from a small town in Fishertown Pennsylvania. I participate in many of our community and school activities such as FBLA, NHS, our annual Heathers Cup, and of course our schools softball team. My collegiate goals are to be a good role model for the students around me, and to become the best person I can be. Being part of a school and travel softball team has helped me build my character in more ways that are imaginable. It has taught me to be a team player, and when one of my teammates is down on themselves it is my job to pick them back up. It has also taught me how improve my work ethic. Every year my school softball team does team workouts over the winter and the coaches definitely do not take it easy on us girls. Which I am grateful for, because not only is it making me work harder to reach my personal goal, but we are all working together to reach our overall goal. That is why I believe this makes me a good team candidate, because when I work to get better I don’t do it for myself I do it for my team so we can all become better. When it comes to school academics is my number one priority. Since COVID school has been very different for me. We go every other day and on our off days we do our school work online. To most kids this sounds great, but it is a lot harder than most people think. It is very hard to stay focused but it motivates me to do better, because we live in a world of adversity and if I can overcome this situation I can over come anything. This has also changed my character. I now don’t take the little things for granted and I appreciate the help that I receive from teachers a lot more now. I believe this has made me a lot different than other recruits, because not every one has a schedule like I do and it has made me a better person overall. At the end of the day I can go to sleep with ease, because I know tomorrow I am going to be faced with another challenge, but every day the challenges get easier and easier because I am becoming a better person and teammate.
