Avery Walls '24 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Avery. I am a 2024 RHP/1B/Utility. I'm currently in 3 clubs. I go to Albert Gallatin Area High School. I play travel softball for Black Diamond Express 16U out of Morgantown, West Virginia. I have a 3.92 GPA while trying to balance School Softball, Travel Softball, Work, and other hobbies during the week. In my sport, I hit for power; since 2020, I have hit 6 home runs. I can bunt when needed, but overall I am a power hitter. In my position, I am a Right Handed Pitcher. I have a fastball velocity of 60, and a circle changeup of 45. I have a curveball that I can throw as a strike.  I am also working on a rise ball with a little spin but not enough spin that I need. I have been pitching for a total of 7 years.  I would like to get more playing time at other positions as we have 2 pitchers on our high school team. 

In college, I want to get a Bachelor's Degree as a Registered Nurse while succeeding in my academics and my athletics. I also would love to be involved in community projects at my college when I do go. I believe if you want to achieve amazing things, you have to have focus and determination in your character.
