Personal Statement

My name is Rayelle Cooley, I am 17 years old and I am from Oxbow Saskatchewan. I have been playing softball for about 9 years. I have learned so much about the game and met some of the best people. I want to continue playing this game for more opportunities to grow and challenge myself.

I’ve always been very athletic, and enjoyed competition from all the different sports I grew up playing. Softball has always been one of my favorite sports. I primarily play 2nd base and have a lot of experience playing shortstop as well. I have always been a very flexible athlete and would be happy to play other positions. I also play very competitive high school volleyball which falls on top of my winter ball which has helped me learn how to use time management skills and have good routines every day. Off the diamond I have always worked very hard on my schoolwork, I believe to play ball at a high level you must learn to keep up your schoolwork as well.

I am a hard working student and athlete that always brings a positive attitude to a team and enjoys meeting new people and spending time with the team. I am a very teachable/coachable person that is always up to learning new concepts even if it is a little outside of my comfort zone.
