Emma Bartels '19 Recruiting Profile

My name is Emma. I have been playing softball since the age of six. You will see that I am very competitive, hard working, and a supportive teammate. I am dedicated and take all of my responsibilities very seriously, both on the field and in the classroom. Being that I am very goal oriented, I never give up or back down from a challenge, and continue to push forward even when I fail. I believe in encouraging my teammates without putting blame on them, and working together to accomplish anything and everything. I have been the lead off batter every year in high school, as I am very fast and have a high percentage of getting myself on base. I also have been a captain of the softball team every year throughout high school, which has prepared me to step up and get prepared to be a leader in college. Also, I am a leader for my school FCA program,  which has helped me grow not only as a leader in athletics, but a leader in life as well. I have received the All-state and first team All-district awards the past two years, and led my team to the Texas semifinals in 2017.
