Ashlynn Emerson '20 Recruiting Profile

My name is Ashlynn, I’m a starter on varsity. I have been a starter on varsity ever since freshman year. My dream has always been to play college softball ever since I started playing which was when I was about 6 yrs old. Once I started I never wanted to put the ball down. The love that I have for this sport along with others is more than I can express.  Just the thought of getting better everyday makes me happy. I love putting in work and doing what I love. I have played on many select teams. A lot of them fell apart but never once did I lose hope or interest in the game. I love winning but I know I won’t always win. I am a very competitive person.  I plan to go to school and become a pediatrician nurse. My goal is to graduate with not only a softball scholarship but also a academic scholarship. My mom has helped out a lot with softball, keeping me in line, staying focused, and getting better everyday. I don’t know where I would be without her. I can’t thank her enough.
