Rebecca Delgado '17 Recruiting Profile

My dreams are to play for the USA team in softball one day. My goal in life is to be a successful, educated, and helpful citizen of my community. I have played softball since I was 7 years old on a little league team that my aunt and my dad put together. Since little league is only seasonal and I loved the game so much, my aunt put together a travel team named "The Bryan Lady Cobras" after only one season of playing with the Cobras my aunt handed the team over to Tommy Galvan who took over and began being my softball coach until I was 14 years old, he taught me everything I know now and I am very appreciative for having my aunt Ofelia,Coach Tommy and my dad coaching me and helping me be a great softball player. We traveled many places in and out of state and it fueled my passion for the game even more. I have played until midnight and had to be up by 7a.m. the next morning ready to play all day over and over again I know it makes my coaches proud and also my parents. I love being mentioned in the sports page of our local newspaper and I dream of one day everyone will read about me online and on all the major sport channels. I have great supportive parents and coaches who can get me places but I know it's up to me to get the job done.
