Personal Statement
Hi, I am Claire Schreiner, a 2025 catcher and utility player. I have played softball since the age of 5. Since the beginning of my softball journey I have received compliments about my humbleness and athletic ability. My desire is to contribute to my team in as many ways a possible. This leads me to put in extra hours of work at home. My true passion in the game is catching, but can and will play anywhere to help the team succeed. Even though the sport of softball consumes most of my life, I will always put academics first. My main goal in school is to keep a GPA of 3.5 or higher and graduate in the top 15% in my class. In college, I would like to study sports marketing, nursing, or teaching/coaching. I consider myself a leader on and off the field because of my positive attitude, good grades, and kind heart. One thing that sets me apart from other athletes is my work ethic and determination to succeed. I am always looking for a way to be better on the field and in the class room. I also cherish my time getting to volunteer and involvement in my church through Vacation Bible School and Mission Trips.
