I love softball!!! I'm planning on pursuing my higher education in the pharmacy field and want to continue playing ball along the way.
I'm a good candidate for any team because I'm willing to dig deep and do whatever is needed for my team. I've played pretty much every position except pitcher and 1st base through high school. I had only played catcher for my city league and tournament teams but my high school coach needed other positions filled so I put in the work required on weekends and after regular practice to earn my spot. I was smaller than most of my teammates but I was also quicker than many of them so I had some advantages and learned how to used them. I've always worked hard to earn my position. Before the first season began I had become a utility player the team and coach knew they could count on. I've been lead off batter and played primarily SS the last two seasons.
I've played varsity all 4 years and have been team captain 3 of those. I love my team, we are a family on and off the field, I enjoy helping others with batting and fielding to make them the best they can be as well. It means the world to me when a fellow teammate ask me to stay late and help them.
Besides's softball, I'm ranked in the top 10% of my class. I'm a member of the National Honor Society, an active member of my church and youth group and the Kilgore FFA program. I've served as a chapter and district officer of the FFA program. I have my life guard and CPR certifications and work for the City of Kilgore public pool during the summer.
