Makayla Nance '15 Recruiting Profile

As an athlete I work hard! I love being active and playing any game there is. I know that hard work will attain the goals I strive for. I recently started paying attention to fueling my body for athletics as well to achieve the fullest in my athletics. When I was five years old I started playing sports and played every sport I could to stay busy all year long. I cannot imagine life without a sport. I will play in a league of some type all my life I am sure. I love to stay busy and compete in anything. Just recently, I placed 3rd in discus and 6th in shot put in the Region 4 TAAF Summer Track and Field meet. I will be attending the state meet July 26-28.
As a student, I understand how working hard will provide the future that I want. I am not the student with the highest GPA or grades in the class, but I am not the student that takes the basic classes to glide through school. I take all advance classes to challenge myself and make my future better and my grades still keep me in the top ten percent. I care deeply about my school and fellow classmates so I join clubs when I can and involve myself in as many activities to help boost the school spirit and attitude. My faith plays a large role in my life. I strive to be Christlike in all I do and give God the glory because without Him I would be nothing.
