Since I was a little girl I have dreamed of becoming a collegiate softball player. I knew I had a love for the sport but it wasn't until my freshman year of high school when I earned a starting position on the 2 time winning championship varsity team at my school, where I was able to understand why I loved the sport. My freshman year I was able to learn from the older players, be pushed for greater competition, and although that season we never lost a game, I was still able to know the feeling of defeat. That came from within, the feeling of knowing when you had a bad game is feeling defeated no matter the score outcome. I strive on the feeling of growth, so I spent extra time on the field (even if it was just sprinting bases with my dog) I gave that team my all, and they responded with their best also, resulting in an undefeated season with a Mountain division championship, and a third consecutive D3 Softball State Championship, and at the end I personally earn Most improved player for the team that year.
