Personal Statement
My path to volleyball first started during softball tournaments. Playing competitive travel softball was always fun, but my favorite times were between games when our team would pass around a volleyball. This led me to try out for a club volleyball team. Softball was a blast, but playing volleyball was where I finally felt at home. I couldn’t imagine not playing volleyball, and playing at the colligate level is a dream and a huge opportunity that I look forward to.
I have played primarily as an outsider hitter, but I have always prided myself on being a six-rotation player. Over the summers, I play some beach volleyball to keep up my defensive skills. At my high school, I was selected for the varsity volleyball team as a freshman. I am very coachable and love the process of practice and seeing the results of steady improvement.
New challenges have been interesting as traditional classrooms no longer exist. Even with all of the changes, I have been able to maintain a 4.3 GPA. I want to attend a college to explore my math and science interests while still competing on the volleyball court.
