Personal Statement

I am Kassandra Jones, but i prefer to be called Kassi. I am roughly 5'3" in height and weigh 145 lbs. My passions in life are softball and doing anything that deals with animals. That's how I came to my career choice of being a veterinarian. As a student and an athlete it is extremely important to me to be able to get into a college that has a strong academic program. It would also be nice if there was a strong softball program, too. I have been playing softball since I was in the 2nd grade. From 2nd graded up to 7th grade i played on three teams in the kiwanis league in Colville. I have also played 1 year on the Colville Tribe traveling team. I played my 7th grade year in Colville on the Colville Junior High Team. Then I have played 8th grade and up at Darrington High School. I have also played on a summer league team up in Concrete for 2 years. Since I have been playing softball I have played every position on the field. Though my main position is pitcher. I have been the starting varsity pitcher on the Darrington High School softball team since my freshman year. Along with being an athlete I am also dedicated in the classroom. I am very diligent at getting my work done. I have a cumulative GPA of 3.52 and I keep working harder and harder in the classroom and on the field to get better no matter what it takes. I believe that I have the potential and dedication to play in college as a softball player. I also believe that i have the desire and dedication to do amazing in the classroom, too.
