Being on a softball team that can't make it past districts is hard. However, it has pushed me to be a better player and to try and help my teammates become better as well. It gives everyone hope that the next season will be even better. Softball was never my first choice as a sport. When I was younger, I wanted to play baseball. In middle school, I transitioned into softball and found that I loved it. Throughout the years, I learned hard work, perseverance, passion, teamwork, effort, and to get dirty!
I have had to overcome losses. Losing is never fun and can be very difficult. Yet, I have trained myself to push through mistakes from those games and focus on the task ahead. I have had to overcome doubts from other coaches and players to get where I am today. My goals for college softball are to be a great teammate, to lift others up when they are down, and to have a great time. Academically speaking, my goal is to maintain the best GPA possible with those tougher college classes. I bring intelligence, positivity, and kindness to a team which I would love to use on a college team.
