Debanny Cota '24 Recruiting Profile

My goals and aspirations are to play in a team where I can make my teammates better and where they do the same in return.  Me being a true point guard makes me feel that is my job to be a leader and put my teammates in a position to be successful. I believe other recruits have their own qualities and abilities to make their team successful as well, that’s why it’s hard for me to say that I’m better than anyone else because it’s a team sport and we need each other. Confidence is key to have a great leadership role and to have a successful team. My aspiration is to be a role model for younger generations and make them fall in love with basketball. I want to grow and impact the game of women’s basketball. Academically I’ve been pushing myself hard to be successful in the future and accomplish goals. I take as many advanced classes as I possibly can so I can create positive habits.
