Personal Statement
Most of my peers started playing basketball in the 2nd, 3rd or 4th grade. During those grades I was busy shaking pom poms and doing summersults. At the end of 7th grade I picked up a ball while at my brothers basketball workout and haven’t put it down. With basically 1 year to prepare for high school basketball I lived in the gym, working on fundamentals. I also played on multiple teams just so I could experience as much live action as possible. Having to work extremely hard to catch up with everyone else in my age group has given me a work ethic that most of my peers don’t have. When many quit because it gets hard, I keep going because I know how rewarding the outcome will be!
Becoming a college graduate has been my dream since I was a little girl, and my goal is to use basketball as a tool to get there.
