Melina Thompson '21 Recruiting Profile

Hello Coaches,

My main goal after high school is to become a pilot. Though I am currently unsure whether I would like to be a military pilot or a civilian pilot, the field of aviation and flying is where I’d like to make my path. I am currently working towards earning my Private Pilot’s Certificate, which I believe not only proves I love all things aviation and planes, but also that I have a strong work ethic. I am a focused, driven and competitive individual, and I believe that will help me not only through my basketball career, but also in life.

In addition to basketball, I take my academics very seriously and also contribute to the community through volunteer work. I participate in both AFJROTC and Beta Club, which has allowed me to learn about and participate in things, outside of basketball, that have contributed to my ambition as an individual, and how I interact with others as part of a team.
