Annika Manthy '24 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing basketball since I was in first grade and while I tried other sports and activities, I always came back to basketball as the sport I truly love!

My freshman year I started on the freshman team, and we were really starting to work together and become a team, but after just 5 games we were shut down due to COVID and couldn't complete our season. My sophomore year I played on the Varsity Team, where I worked hard and made my way up to play.  I got an opportunity to start when one of my teammates got hurt and I made the most of it. We finished our season as the MSL East Champions.

I am a hard-nosed aggressive defender with strong rim protecting abilities; an excellent rebounder on both ends of the court with strong offensive moves around the rim coupled with solid perimeter shooting. I am passionate about basketball and am always looking to learn more and achieve higher standards. Having played for different coaches and a variety of teammates over the years I feel like I can nicely adjust to varying coaching styles and team dynamics. I am looking to continue my basketball career into college and continue to grow!
