Katrina Kellett '23 Recruiting Profile

Hello!  I am Katrina Kellett.  Class of 2023

I have 2 passions, first is my drive to be a teacher, with an emphasis on working with Special Needs children.  And the 2^nd is playing basketball.

I’ve wanted to be a teacher for as long as I can remember.  Basketball came along in the 6^th grade when my PE teacher introduced me to our local High School Feeder program.  I tried out, made the team, and have been building my skills, feeding that passion, ever since. 

Off the court, I study hard and maintain a high GPA.   I also volunteer at local community services.  In addition, I am a fan of Musical Theater and now volunteer with the troupe I grew up in.   

I am now aspiring to take my basketball passion to the collegiate level.  I have strong skills, and a high basketball IQ.   I am a team leader and try to lead by example while also encouraging my teammates. I am very coachable and strive to be one of the hardest working players for any team I am a part of.

I want to attend a college where I can push myself in the classroom and on the basketball court.  One day I hope I can combine my two passions by becoming a Coach as well as a Teacher.   I do believe that is what brings out my strengths.  Those passions working together to make be a better listener, communicator, and team player.  

I am open to all options and want to ultimately find the right college match at the highest level of competition possible. I hope to become a great role model to all peers and make my parents and past coaches proud.
