I am currently a Senior at Freeport High School. I have played varsity basketball since I was a freshman, gaining valuable experience. Despite being the captain of my volleyball team, I decided to focus solely on basketball. This season will bring my fourth coach in as many years. During this time I have learned to adapt to different ways of learning and playing. While I feel like my best asset is my outside shot, my coaches portray me as easily "coachable" with a high basketball IQ. My passion for the game of basketball began in fifth grade. I have come to realize the positive impact that basketball has had on my life. The sport has taught me the importance of commitment, leadership, and perseverance. In school, I have taken these values and applied them to my academics. I look forward to continuing to build these skills during my college career.
