My name is Baylie Parks and I play two sports at Lake Zurich High School in Illinois which are volleyball and basketball. I am eager to keep improving my basketball skills throughout my entire basketball career. I strive to always be the best player I can be. I am willing to play any position the coach tells me to which ranges from bringing the ball up the floor to playing down in the post. I am a very coachable player and always willing to make changes to my game. Also after the shot goes up I’m always down in the paint looking to get a rebound.
An important factor of the game is leadership which I try to provide because a great leader is what forms a great team. I love the friendships you create while being part of a team which ultimately leads to a good team dynamic. I believe that being a good athlete also means having good grades. I made high honor roll my freshmen and sophomore year and my goal is to keep this going though my senior year.
I have just finished my Junior season, in which I made the all conference and all area team. My team made it to our sectional final game (sweet 16) this season as a 6th seed after knocking off the 3rd and 2nd seed. I love playing team basketball, and am always willing to do anything to help my team succeed.
