While I don’t have a resume filled with years of accolades and stats, I am confident I would be a valuable asset to a women’s program that has a culture of excellence. My current skills and strides of improvement can be seen in the stats posted in each game this season. I excel at rim-running and rebounding, as well as a new love for shot-blocking.
In three short years, I have gone from being one of the worst players on my freshman team to a powerful inside force that leads our Varsity team that is ranked in the top 10 in the state of Kansas. I am proud to say I am the #3 player on the team, behind two guards who are both on their way to being Power 5 standouts, Jayden Wooten (‘24 OSU) and Amilia Prochnow (‘27).
What sets me apart is my relentless dedication and determination to constant improvement. I am sure you have heard that time and again from athletes, but I can back those statements up. I have an unmatched work ethic and that is the only thing I will not be humble about. I know when I step on that court there isn’t one player out there that has or will outwork me.
I have been called a late bloomer and while at first that aggravated me, I am now realizing the advantage that gives me and my future college team. My desire to play basketball at the college level isn’t new, however, my confidence and skills now match that passion. I also know I have many skills that need to be developed and improved and I will continue to put the work in to ensure I have everything it takes to help my team win. There are two things that I am relentless about: winning and being in the gym every day to improve.
Off the court, I am known for my leadership, resilience, and ability to inspire teammates. I believe in fostering a positive and collaborative team culture that goes beyond individual achievements. I am not just looking to be a player on your team but a positive force that contributes to the team's cohesion and success.
Academically, I am committed to achieving excellence in my studies. I understand the importance of balancing the demands of athletics with a strong academic foundation. The commitment to both academic and athletic success resonates with my personal goals, and I am eager to contribute to a culture of excellence.
