When I think about my goal of being a collegiate basketball player I think of just how much I love it. Going to basketball is never a hard thing for me to do because I love playing each and every day. I started playing basketball in the 2014-2015 school year as an 8th grader at a private school named St.Francis in Goshen Kentucky. As an 8th grader I was thinking, I won't be that good because it is my first year ever playing since I was like 3 years old, but I wanted to be apart of the team and their was a no cut policy. After practices started, I started realizing that I wasn't too bad, being at 5'9 height wise was never a bad thing. One day the high school coach of St.Francis came to our practice looking for some girls to pull up, before I knew it I was one of them and not just one of them but a soon to be Varsity starter. After both high school and middle school season ended, I went on to play for a league at a local gym called HOOPS, and my love for the game just deepened. After 8th grade graduation I decided I was not going to continue on at St.Francis high school and that I was going to be attending South Oldham High School which is a public high school right down the road from my house. When making the decision where to go to high school academics was big, but so was basketball and a good program, and knowing that a girl who was graduating that year went on to play on a full ride to a private high school here in Kentucky was a good feeling. Playing collegiate basketball would make me so happy and it is my ultimate goal. Even though I am writing this preseason and as a freshman I still can say that I see myself improving daily and I know I will be improving until the day I cannot physically play anymore which will not be for a long time considering I am 14 years old and a Freshman, I have a long life ahead of me and my dream would be that basketball will be apart of the rest of my long life.
