Lilly Smeltzer '25 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Lilly Smeltzer and I attend Edgewood High School. I am a hardworking, intelligent, friendly athlete that believes as a team we are stronger and desires to serve. I have a 5.0 GPA, am involved in 3 high school varsity sports, and give back to the community through service. Throughout high school, I have run cross country and track, and played lacrosse, but most importantly basketball. I have been a starter for the Edgewood Rams Varsity Basketball Team since my freshman year. Additionally, I became a Captain for my team my sophomore year, and intend to keep that leadership position. This year, I was a Captain of the Cross Country team. As previously mentioned, I demonstrate service to others through involvement in my church and volunteering for the Believe in Tomorrow Children's Foundation. I am an active member in the International Baccalaureate program, Academy of Finance program, Future Business Leaders of America, Student Government Association, National Honor Society, Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica (Spanish Honor Society), Rho Kappa (Social Studies Honor Society), and Mu Alpha Theta (Math Honor Society). My goals for high school are to become Valedictorian, make the First Team All County for Basketball, and take my team to the State Championship this year and next. I have been playing basketball since I was 5 and have a strong desire to play at the next level. In college I want to continue to use my talents on and off the court, and study Engineering to graduate as a mechanical engineer.
