Searra Baker '24 Recruiting Profile

Hi!  My name is Searra Baker and I am currently a junior at Bullis in MD.  I typically play a 4, and can also play 5 or 3.  I am a high-level student athlete taking 3+ AP classes and with a 3.8-4.0 GPA. With a very tough course load. I would optimally like to play D1 basketball at a top-tier university/college like my mom.  My dream is to become a conservationist veterinarian so I am looking for a college with a great biology/life sciences and even pre-veterinary program if possible.  I am very active in my school, playing basketball, and currently in some clubs such as the newspaper and LGBTQ alliance club, which I feel very strong about (equality in the world). I like to write and edit short stories with my best friends. People say I am quirky and witty and the consummate team player.

For basketball, I pride myself in being a very well-rounded player.  I help win games and am told I am always the biggest hustler up and down the court in games, getting down the court very quickly.  I am a strong defender in the paint, blocking shots, but also in stopping the ball - or slowing it down on the court to avoid competitor fast breaks. I love to drive to the basket, rebound and shoot from the outside. I am a very hard worker, always seeking to become better at the game. I am currently working to add more bulk to my frame through lifting and core exercises.  I am very lucky to train with the best trainer in the DC/VA/MD region.
