The first year I played Basketball was when I was in 5th grade and to be honest I hated it. But, I couldn't quit because my dad wouldn't let me. So, I stuck the year out and didn't quit. Once the season was over I realized how much Basketball had become a part of my life. By the time my 6th grade season rolled around I was ready to be back on the court doing the thing that I loved. It became such a big part of my life I couldn't imagine what it'd like without it. Basketball changed me from the girl who had no friends to the girl who had a team, to play, laugh, and spend time with. Playing Basketball at a collegiate level would mean I would get the opportunity to keep playing the game, I have come to love, competitively.
On the court, I try to lead by example. I encourage my teammates, communicate, try to stay positive, and give 100%. I work very hard for the things I want to be successful at and Basketball is one of them. Also, I work very hard in school. I study hard to maintain my GPA. I participate in extra curricular activities two of which are Student Council and National Honors Society.
