Personal Statement
My goals are to attend a secondary school for psychology and to remain in athletics. I am an extremely hard- working individual both in and out of the academic and athletic arenas. I am a captain for multiple sports for multiple years, but more importantly I am a leader, mentor, and a role model for children from Pre-K through high school. I have worked with numerous youth activities as a player, coach, trainer, and as a mentor/tutor. I look to use the opportunity to go to college for psychology for the very reason of being that: a mentor, leader, or inspiration for someone. I enjoy hearing “you’re my role model” from children, and I also love hearing “thank you for helping me through this” and I would love to continue to do that professionally after getting the necessary education. In addition, I want to continue to learn and grow personally and professionally through competitive athletics. As I believe extracurriculars are an extremely important tool for our youth to utilize and find within them their personal motives, goals and outlets for anything that comes to them in life.
