My dream has always been to play college basketball, ever since I can remember. I’ve always been very determined to achieve what ever I set my mind to, which my family can attest to. Not only have I always been determined to succeed in basketball, but also academics. I've always been extremely competitive, hint growing up with an older brother who challenged me to countless late-night driveway one-on-ones. There has always been one aspect of the game which I truly loved, which was the social aspect. Playing basketball opened the door to meeting so many amazing people and teammates. I'm a very social person, so getting to play my favorite sport along with my teammates was the greatest mix to me. One of my greatest strengths that I’ve been told, is that I'm very gritty. I work on bringing positivity to my team on and off the court every day. Additionally, I would say one of my biggest assets is my flexibility and willingness to play whatever position my coach asks of me. I always grew up as a strict five, but as I've gotten older, I've been working on my guard skills and ability to play more of a 3/4 position as well. I believe that playing AAU growing up helped me play against tougher competition, and has given me more perspective and knowledge about what's out there. I would have to say this past year, especially since playing on the EYBL circuit, has given me more insight, and perspective on what it takes to play at a collegiate level. The competition was unmatched and only made me stronger, which is another thing I'm looking for in a college program. Somewhere I'm appreciated but also being pushed and challenged every day to compete. Basketball, since I was five, has always been a huge part of my life. I'm excited to see where the future takes me and hopefully given the opportunity to play at the next level.
