Emilija Jakumaite '20 Recruiting Profile

My name is Emilija Jakumaite and I'm Guard at Holderness Prep school. I'm from Lithuania. I started to play basketball in 5th grade. Since young age I always wanted to play basketball in USA and Holderness school gave me this opportunity. My next goal is to compete in high College basketball level.

I have strong ball handling skills, strong physical defense, mental toughness, and high basketball IQ. I am a team leader and try to lead by example while also encouraging my teammates. I am very coachable. I strive to be one of the hardest working players and one of the hardest working recruits you’ll find. Playing in college is my dream and I have a strong love for the game. I strive to be a leader on and off the basketball court by maintaining good grades and relationships with others. I am consistently seeking to improve my skills, even outside of team practice, by going to the gym everyday and either playing pick up games, lifting weights, or practicing drills by myself. Also I am consistently looking to improve my English skills. I want to attend a college where I can push myself in the classroom and on the basketball court. I am open to all options and want to ultimately find the right college match at the highest level of competition possible. I hope to become a great role model to all my peers, in my community and make my parents proud.
