Although I started playing basketball when I was pretty young, I didn't truly fall in love with the game until I started playing travel in 6th grade. Since then, I have developed a strong passion for the game, whether it's at practice or playing pickup or a workout. I really want to play in college one day and hope to get there through the hard work I put in on a daily basis. I take pride in my work ethic and I look forward to setting goals and trying to reach them. I am coachable and flexible, so I can play for whoever and where ever I'm needed the most. Outside of basketball I try to maintain the same level of hard work in the classroom. I take honors classes and as a competitive person I always strive to get the best grades I can. I was the class president this year and I was also involved in our school's concert band...let's just say that the oboe is not exactly my calling. I volunteer with youth basketball programs and help coach my younger sister's travel team in my spare time. I want to attend a college or university where I will get to play the game that I love while also receiving an incredibly strong education. I want my parents and all the people who have helped me over the years to be proud of me. However, most importantly, I want to be proud of myself and know all the time and effort I have put in has payed off.
