My collegiate goals and aspirations is to graduate on time with advanced diplomas. What makes me a good candidate for a college basketball team is that I always give 1,000% even if I feel like I can’t do it. I push myself to do better than before and I communicate with my team because that’s the key during basketball games. What makes me different from other recruits in character is I’m not scared to ask for help if I don’t understand something, I speak up when needed to and I just want to accomplish my goal I’ve been having since my youth childhood, so I will do anything to make that happen. What makes me different as an athlete is that I never give up. I keep striving for what’s best and I reflect on poor decisions I may have made during a game to get better. I choose to record how I play, watch after and reflect on what I could have done better in the long run. Academic wise what makes me different is that since my junior year in high school I completely changed. I strived to make Honor Roll each quarter and really realized everything about school matters. I went from being the kid who had summer school every year to passing all my classes both semesters. I went from the kid who didn’t care much about school to the kid who is determined to do their best not only sports wise but academically as well. I’m now the kid who has a completely different mindset about life because I want a bright future. Once I was told I have the intelligence and power to take control of not only my academics but basketball as well, that’s what made me push harder. I’ve dreamed of playing pro ball since I was in my youth as a child and that will never change. For my upcoming senior year my goals that I will achieve are to make honor again each quarter, put my school work first, then basketball, and repeat. Everyone always tells me I’m quiet and that’s because I like to mind my own business. However, on the court that’s when the true me comes out. I have no problem yelling to communicate with my teammates. Although I am about to start my senior year, I still try to seek great opportunities to take when it comes to basketball that will benefit me both academically and athletically.
