Personal Statement

Hi my name is Tylar Barbato. I wish to attend college to study my interests in teaching and business management. Even though I'm not sure exactly what I want to study I know my goal is to help kids in some way.  I really want to help guide and lead them whether it's teaching, coaching, scouting-I want to explore options and am open to all possibilities.  I think I am a good student and have been on high honor roll or honor roll during high school.  It doesn't always come easy to me and sometimes I need to ask for extra time from the teachers but it's important to me to do my best in school.

I love this game and play as hard and well as  possible no matter the score or minutes. I have a great desire to learn more and I understand that there is always something more to learn. I believe that I am a good leader as I have earned leadership awards from my school (chosen by the faculty & coaches) the last two years. As a result of this I have been sent to seminars on leadership and success. I study and play basketball constantly and believe I have a good understanding of the game. I play with a men's league every weekend because it is a much faster & physical game. My parents have allowed me to go to a personal trainer twice a month and I add to my workouts at the school fitness center because I know it can only help my game. I have played all positions for my AAU team, guard when we need to break the press, forward when we need scoring and rebounds, and my coach always had me defend the most physical opponent even though a lot of times the girls outweighed me by 40-50 lbs and were 4- 7 inches taller. I like to play hard!  I am a good team mate and I want to learn, improve and contribute all I have to my team and coaches.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
