My name is Jamie Davneiro, a 5’2 point guard. Basketball has been a true passion of mine ever since I was 4, watching my cousins and their friends shoot around in the driveway. I would join in and try to play with the “bigger kids” but being as small as I was, my heart was bigger for the game than they thought. I have many key credentials a point guard should have when taking the court. I have excellent ball handling, for I can dribble quickly last defenders, a great shot release off the dribble, which also makes defenders freeze when I look at the rim, and I have high IQ passing when it comes to finding teammates. Not only am I passionate on offense, but on defense, I play aggressive and strive to cause a turnover for the other team. I believe offense wins games but defense wins championships. After each game, I promise to lead more as the point guard and after each practice, I always get in 10 minutes extra to get more shots up and to ultimately better my game. As a leader of my team, my goal is to not only shine on the court, but to make my teammates shine as well. I believe that I can shine more by making the extra pass, which can make the whole team shine as a whole. I believe in not only my success, but my teams success as well. Basketball is my true passion and I believe that anyone can be good, but those who work harder and want it, can be great.
