A basketball has been in my hand for as long as I can remember. I've enjoyed playing basketball with my older brother and his friends since I was a small child. As a result, I became a confident, strong player. You learn quickly when you are playing with boys that are 3 years older than you. Since then, I have aspired to play basketball at the highest level. Being a collegiate athlete is a once in a lifetime honor that could change my whole life.
I have strong ball handling skills, speed, strong physical defense, mental toughness, and a high basketball IQ. I am a team leader. This comes naturally to me. I encourage my teammates to do their best and I lead by example. I am the first one at the gym and the last one to leave. I spend most of my free time training and perfecting my skills. I strive to be one of the hardest working players in the game. I will be one of the hardest working and coachable players you can find.
I work hard year-round on my basketball skills participating in my Varsity Basketball team and AAU. I also train at X-Gen Elite basketball facility with some of the best coaches in my area. I have played for several of their travel teams for the past two years. Additionally, I have been a starting player on Varsity Soccer, and Varsity Track where I run the hurdles. I have been told by several coaches that I am a natural athlete and that is a compliment that I take pride in.
In the classroom, I study hard and maintain Honor Roll status every marking period. Inducted into the National Junior Honor Society, Builder's Club, Student Council, and I am a Building Leader who meets with school administrators as a liaison between them and students. I volunteer with our community and various organizations. I am a member of our local Roman Catholic Church and am very involved with my family.
My ultimate goal is to be a collegiate athlete and attend college to obtain a medical degree. I would strive to push myself on the court and the classroom and give it my all. I am open to all options and want to ideally find the best match for me. My vision for my future is to be the best me possible so I can be a role model to my peers, help my community and make my parents proud. This can ALL be achieved through hard work and dedication. I am excited to see where this path will take me.
