Jazmine Atkinson '17 Recruiting Profile

I started playing recreational basketball.  I found that I really like basketball and wanted to play more structured ball.  I am currently on a high school team and I love that my peers are following me; they see me as a peer leader.  I am finding that I am a leader and the youth look up to me.  They see a feminine side of me and they see an athletic side, which I strive to maintain and stay on the honor roll every quarter.

Sometimes choices are made for me, but I don’t believe in those choices. So on my time, I try to change those choices.  In other words, I work hard off the court to become a better player to develop my skills. My size may be small, but playing "Big" is what I do best. 

I would prefer to attend a college that encourages students to excel in the academics and to excel in sport. I prefer to attend a college that will believe that the impossible is possible.
