My name is Symaya McDougall. I have been a leader in basketball since I started in Elementary School. As a Freshman I started on the Varsity team and ended my Junior year with a Honorable Mention. Basketball has been a major focus in my life and I strive to continue this journey as a collegiate athlete. I have always been thought of as a leader and as I continued to go through high school now as a rising senior I took on the responsibility of modeling good sportsmanship behavior on and off the court. I look forward to being a role model for the incoming freshman and also leaving a legacy for my High School Womens Basketball program upon graduation.
I will be an asset to colleges because of my work ethic that I contribute in academics and dedication on the court. Most importantly I take on the suggestion of coaches to improve my skills in order to be the best contributor of success to my team. I am always willing to put my team before my own stats which increases the moral of the team and our program. These are examples of a leader and that is what I want to present in college.
