Personal Statement
As a young girl I had always dreamed of playing basketball on the highest level possible. At that age, I knew that fulfilling my dream of becoming a college athlete would not come easily. I realized that it would require hard work, dedication, and a lot of practice. This hasn't changed but as I got older I realized that the real riches of the game and what I cherish most are the relationships built with my teammates and coaches. My most successful teams, best memories, and greatest friendships came from teams that shared an unselfish attitude and a dedication to a larger purpose. I want to find a college team where your teammates are also your biggest fans because I want to be theirs. I have been blessed with a 6 foot + body and a 6'4 wingspan with good feet and athleticism, but I believe my greatest strength is my desire. Every part of the game is important to me. I have a good sense of the game and no one will out work me. I know my tenacity at practice may initially be annoying to some but they get used to it and soon we are battling making each other and the team better. I am a very versatile player and can play inside and out and can run the floor well and a very aggressive shot blocker, defender and rebounder. This season I have a PER or Efficiency rating of 26.5.
A good education is important to me because basketball will not last forever and will unfortunately come to an end. I am looking forward to proudly representing my college and upholding and improving its traditions and reputation. In return, my college must provide me an education to enable me to best serve others and my community. Thank you for taking the time to read my profile.
